Inverse closed ultradifferential subalgebras

In previous work we have shown that classical approximation theory provides methods for the systematic construction of inverse-closed smooth subalgebras. Now we extend this work to treat inverse-closed subalgebras of ultradifferentiable elements. In particular, Carleman classes and Dales–Davie algebras are treated. As an application the result of Demko, Smith and Moss, and Jaffard on the inverse of a matrix with exponential decay is obtained within the framework of a general theory of smoothness.     

Neumann problems with resonance in the first eigenvalue

The aim of this work is to present results of existence of solutions for a class of superlinear asymmetric elliptic systems with resonance in the first eigenvalue. The asymmetry that we consider has linear behavior on and superlinear on . To obtain these results we apply topological degree theory.     

On the Auslander–Reiten conjecture for Cohen–Macaulay rings and path algebras

In this note, it is shown that the validity of the Auslander–Reiten conjecture for a given d-dimensional Cohen–Macaulay local ring R depends on its validity for all direct summands of d-th syzygy of R-modules of finite length, provided R is an isolated singularity. Based on this result, it is shown that under a mild assumption on the base ring R, satisfying the Auslander–Reiten conjecture behaves well under completion and reduction modulo regular elements. In addition, it will turn out that, if R is a commutative Noetherian ring and 𝒬 a finite acyclic quiver, then the Auslander–Reiten conjecture holds true for the path algebra R𝒬, whenever so does R. Using this result, examples of algebras satisfying the Auslander–Reiten conjecture are presented.     

Composition algebras and outer automorphisms of algebraic groups via triality

In this note, we establish an equivalence of categories between the category of all eight-dimensional composition algebras with any given quadratic form n over a field k of characteristic not two, and a category arising from an action of the projective similarity group of n on certain pairs of automorphisms of the group scheme PGO⁺(n) defined over k. This extends results recently obtained in the same direction for symmetric composition algebras. We also derive known results on composition algebras from our equivalence.     

Standard Koszul standardly stratified algebras

In this paper, we prove that every standard Koszul (not necessarily graded) standardly stratified algebra is also Koszul. This generalizes a similar result of [3 Ágoston, I., Dlab, V., Lukács, E. (2003). Quasi-hereditary extension algebras. Algebras Represent. Theory 6:97–117.[Crossref], [Web of Science ®] , [Google Scholar]] on quasi-hereditary algebras.
